ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDIES
An Environmental Impact Study (EIS) is used to provide a sufficient level of detail to demonstrate that a proposed development will have low negative impacts on the natural features or ecological functions of the subject site and surrounding lands.
Their purpose is to inform the design and configuration of the development, to avoid negative impacts at the outset and to identify appropriate mitigation and/or compensation for unavoidable impacts. A&A has experience completing EIS for small to moderate development proposals, such as property severances, residential homes, and small multi lot developments. A&A staff work closely with municipalities, development companies, contractors, and private landowners to ensure that significant natural features are appropriately protected, and impacts mitigated, following all relevant policies and guidelines. We also ensure that all necessary permits are obtained, followed and documented upon completion of these studies.
